Starting My Blog

For several years I have followed other people's blogs. I have enjoyed family members sharing stories and pictures about our family. I was very attentive to many different political blogs during the presidential campaign. I never had the courage to respond to anyone except very close relatives. Today I start my first blog about my genealogy passion. I started gathering family records over thirty-five years ago. I talked to my immediate family. I wrote a few letters to distant cousins and aunts. They responded and thus started my lifelong hobby. I now have extensive experience gathering genealogical data from vital records, libraries, traveling to places where ancestors lived, and online databases. I hope to share my experiences and the thrill I feel when new information is discovered. I hope my experience will help others who are searching and want to find their ancestors.
